Just listened to the interview. Everything you Tech guys are claiming has been confirmed to be BS. Tech was in until they heard the opponent was ULM. ULM was in regardless of whether Tech was or not so they're not only there because "Tech didn't accept the bid" Ohio had other options. Everything you guys are claiming is false. Take off your tinfoil hats and get back to reality.

I'm always amazed by people that have enough free time to troll on multiple sports message boards and chime in. My addiction to BBB is bad enough, I can't imagine slumming around on message boards for irrelevant schools like Northeast and USL. I guess some people don't have anything else going on in their lives....

ULM fans want this to be an arrogant move by Tech to avoid them because we know we would lose. Anything other than that is not acceptable and will not be believed.
Your post is contradictory:
1. Tech was "IN" until they heard the opponent was ULM
2. ULM was "IN" regardless of Tech

4 days after "Bowl-Gate" and the Warhawks are losing the "Tech is Arrogant" argument. It has been proven, rehashed, and confirmed by the Independence Bowl themselves that Tech never accepted, nor formally rejected an invitation.
ULM was NEVER in the original discussion, and even when they were introduced, it wasn't that big a deal. We still wanted HOD or Liberty. Once again...the news media, looking for a juicy story with lots of drama...jumped the stump. Kinda like the Winnsboro KKK incident...reporting as fact, because of the sensational angle of such a story...only to find out, once the facts come out...the story dies.
This story has died. ULM is going to the Independence Bowl while we stay at home, but sadly...they still lost to Tech.

This is true. They even requested another opponent. But they still would have preferred Liberty or HOD over Independence and that's why they didn't accept the invitation.
We were marginally interested in the I Bowl from the get-go, and wanted the Liberty or HOD...which is why they got pissed off at us. ULM was not in the discussion until Saturday. This has been confirmed by the I BOWL COMMITTEE bro. Forget it. You guys have lost this debate on the National level. Everybody else has MOVED ON.
Go get busy giving away some tickets to the Indy Bowl...cause you sure won't sell 'em.
I'm actually from Maine but I went to NLU in the early to mid 90s. I root for ULM and tech to a lesser degree. It sucks what happened to the Tech players and I can't believe a lot of you guys are defending your AD despite overwhelming evidence that shows he's an arrogant jerk.
Mel, Tech was offered after the USU game. Had we accepted, ESPN would've pushed for an opponent from a different region to bolster TV ratings. The iBowl would've complied. The iBowl's selection of ULM was two things:
1. A closing of the door to Tech.
2. Securing a regional team to sell tickets because NO ONE would've come to watch MTSU and CMU.
