I believe Likens was the assistant head coach or something so that's probably why they assumed he was the interim. I tell you what though, whoever we hire NEEDS to retain Eggan. That guy is a heck of a recruiter and a good coach! I was also very impressed by Koonz.

Yes, I would definitely like to see him retained.

Interesting that Likens has been removed, but Franklin has not.....

Actually, Coach Stan Eggen's time at A&M, Alabama, TCU and TECH are pretty dang impressive as well as his numerous Rivals Top 20 Recruiter titles.

I can't get into details but Stan Eggen is the man when it comes to recruiting. If we keep him it would be a fantastic thing for all involved. Wouldn't surprise me at all if his name was actually in the running for HC.

The man is one cool customer. I met him once when I went down to the dome for the 2009 state championships. He was in the line behind me and my family and noticed my tech sweater I had on, and struck up a conversation.

It doesn't take an expert to know that Spangler is not a cutting it at DC. His defense was the worst in the entire country. He's got to go.

I think keeping Eggen is crucial to keeping the recruits we have committed and also the ones we don't know about yet. We keep him for stability in recruiting, hire a good new coach and we'll be just fine!

According to the Tech website, Eggen has been named the interim head coach. Likens name and picture have been removed from the site. His and Dykes names are the only 2 that have been removed.
