    Tuberville To Cincinnati

TommyTuberville just accepted the Cincinnati job. Maybe Sonny should have waited a few days.

If I was Sonny I would be happy this happened like it did. Why follow your dad? What if you don't measure up? I think he will do fine to blaze his own trail.

Sonny is where he wants to be, Cal bows TT and Lubbock out of the water in every sense-budget, facilities, you name it.

It is interesting to note that SD has yet to sign the contract at Cal. At last mention, they were still hammering away the details. Knowing him, he'll use TT as leverage to get a little more salary.

I would imagine we'll see TT go after Monken.

I don't think so. Not a new HC training ground. They'll wait and let us train him if he comes our way. Then they'll come after him.

Decent?!?! Kingsbury set a lot of records when he was at TexasTech. He'd actually be a very good hire for them (young, experienced, played college ball+NFL, roots at Texas Tech, and an offensive mind). If I was Texas Tech, he'd be my #1 choice.

it would be funny if he passed up Cal for Texas Tech and then they hire someone else leaving Sonny with no job.

If bvdv is advising him, it's a distinct possibility!

Tubberville just completed his 3rd season at Texas Tech and he figures with another mediocre season, he's out. So, he jumps to Cincinnatti and gets a new 5 year contract.

"Tubberville to Cincinnati" really surprised me. Could this be a turning point, where football coaches actually start realizing that life at a non-AQ school isn't so bad? (I believe Cincy is destined for the non-AQ Big East for 2014)
