On paper, give me Hudson please. Maybe he's talking to Gibbs about getting back into coaching and being a secondary coach.
Looking more into the teams that Gibbs coached, I would HATE this hire if it's true. I'd rather keep Spangler!!
Why? What are you seeing? On the surface it looks like he lead some pretty good D's.
Whereas I may not be thrilled with the hire, I don't see where the hate would come from. In 2005, his Auburn defense ranked in the top 10 in yards allowed and points per game. I can't seem to find all the stats for his Minnesota defenses.
The one year at Auburn was great. It IS also the only year that he's been a DC and not an assistant coach, so I guess that gives me SOME hope, but Auburn's defense was in the top of those statistics from 2003-2008. I just wish that he had a little more than 1 year at Auburn for that to impress me. Now check out the pass defense stats for his stints in the NFL....

Maybe hate is the wrong word... it just makes me really nervous that he's the DB coach and both teams were awful in his last year. If you can make me feel better about him, I'm listening.
