Dang, I am so sorry I didn't tune in the chicken bowl on the radio after the mbb coach's show. I'd have laughed all the way home ! ! !

I tuned in on the way back to Shreveport after listening to Dave's recap but lswho was up by 11 so I turned on some music instead. Didn't want it to ruin the good showing I had just seen by MBB.

Our 11-3 team deserves much better support from the area than it is getting.

I continue to stress that until Tech owns the attendance problem, it wont' be fixed. We need an emphasis on marketing. Until we do that, we will have horrible crowds.

A bunch of home games in the middle of Christmas break doesn't help...I've made an effort to become a mbb fan this season but home games during breaks are hard to make.

... and it IS a marketable product. You know me, I appreciate all styles of men's basketball. However, I understand that a Princeton Offense or a sagging zone defense may not be exciting to most in our ADHD world.
This group however is 40 minutes of balls to the wall defense, blocks, steals, fast-breaks, dunks and threes. Even the casual fan could appreciate watching this team... if they even knew the DAWGS were playing.

The difference between me and most students is my dad went to Oklahoma University, and thus I grew up hearing about going to the games, so when I went to Tech, I just thought that is what college students were supposed to do. Even though I lived in Cameron, I made every game, not because I was better than anybody else, it was just how I was reared. It was like breathing.

P.S. I don't think I have been a good parent. My daughter is a freshman at Tech. She has made only one basketball game. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
