After Boise State's announcement yesterday that it is leaving the nBE for the MWC, the Big East is now desperate. The Big East needs warm bodies on their schedule.Originally Posted by RougeDawg

Plus an early defection would also force all of its sports out early...ECU might be homeless for a year or more in other sports.
Another thought...the Big East needs to tread VERY carefully on enticing a school to leave early to come into its membership when it is insisting on enforcing its own rules on current members not getting to leave before expiration of its prior notice period.

You are correct...all of the other school moving from C-USA to the Big East gave the required 12-month notice to C-USA before leaving. That's why it will take a hefty settlement for ECU to join them or a lawsuit will stop them.
ECU is moving on to bigger and better things which do not include a stop in Ruston.
It looks like ULM is headed back to FCS.
If they're lucky. The state needs to force NLUCO to drop all sports since they have been fiscally under water for years and a major drain for LA tax payers.

The stereotype of ULM fans is that they aren't very well read on anything that doesn't include LSU. Guess in this case, the stereotype is true. Even ECU isn't sure it's moving to "bigger and better" anymore.
Hate on ULM all you want, but leave WM out of it!
