In the changing landscape of college football, a decade is an eternity. High school prospects today only know TCU as a winning program. And while Patterson could leave at any moment, why would he at this point? He's turned down overture after overture to remain at TCU, where he's compensated very well and finally has a seat at the table with the game's biggest and best. And on the unlikely chance that he does leave, while the wheels could come off, TCU also could get even better, just as Boise did when it hired Petersen.
