Our new Special Teams Coordinator/DB Coach is Ronnie Bradford who played at the University of Colorado in 1990, when they won the national championship. The 1991 Orange Bowl is the game that clinched the title for them. In that game, Bradford blocked an extra point that helped Colorado beat Notre Dame 10-9. The Wide Receivers coach on that Notre Dame team..... Skip Holtz.

what makes it even worse, we were coming off an Independance bowl victory yr before and we had a proven QB ( thibadeaux?)-- we were expecting a great yr-- players dropped like flies from team.

Keith Thibodeaux had a cannon for an arm. Pitched for the baseball team as well, and once beat UT in Austin in the regionals. The thing I remember about that year is we did go from flinging the ball all over the place to a run first, run second, and run in almost all situations mentality. The fans did not like it, very painful to watch since we did not have the personnel to run it (no pun intended). In the NLU game, first play from scrimmage for us, Patterson threw deep. Fell incomplete, but the crowd gave him a standing O.

Colorado was not the consensus champion that year. The Coaches voted GaTech #1.
