I suppose this might be on the WAC homepage but how is a 10 member conference going to work at the Tourney in Vegas this year?
Will the Top 2 seeds get a bye ?
Really hard to stomach that we will be in the middle of the brackit!

Right now we are in a dog fight for a 3 seed. Not we are used to, but we are above the middle of the pack. We have a tie breaker over Idaho. UTSA and the Techsters are knotted up just below Seattle and USU (tied for 1st place).

Top six seeds get a bye into the quarterfinals. 7-10 seeds play an extra game on the first day with the two winners being the other quarterfinalists. So there's no real advantage in the seeding spots in the upper half of the standings.
IMo, we need that 3 seed. We match up better with USU than we do Seattle.

Totally agree....... Hoping Seattle gets knocked off in the quarterfinals.
I should add - Seattle on the OTHER side of the bracket. I think (looking at our score with USU and seeing the game), we will have an easier time beating them and whomever knocks Seattle out. No one has beat us without a nail biter of a game - except Seattle. Hoping this 10 day break will give us fresh legs when we play USU at their place next week.
So if both San Jose and the Techsters lose on Saturday we would both be 8-10. Who would win the tiebreak between us? We split the season series.
Malcolm said on the broadcast tonight that San Jose had the tie breaker, so we have to win Saturday to avoid the 7 seed. The first 6 seeds get a bye, and seeds 7 thru 10 play Tuesday.

Tech can be no higher than the #5 seed now. Both UTSA and San Jose State have beaten Seattle once, so they have the single team tiebreaker over Tech.
If Tech beats Denver
If UTSA wins over Utah State it is outright #4 seed. Tech would be #5 if SJSU loses to Texas State or #6 if SJSU beats Texas State.
If UTSA loses to Utah State and SJSU loses to Texas State, UTSA and Tech would tie at 9-9 but the seeding would be UTSA #4 and Tech #5.
If UTSA loses to Utah State and SJSU beats Texas State, UTSA, SJSU, and Tech all tie at 9-9. UTSA wins the 3-way tiebreaker since it is 3-1 against the other two teams. SJSU beats Tech in the head-to-head tiebreaker. Seeds are UTSA #4, SJSU #5, and Tech #6.
If Tech loses to Denver
If SJSU loses to Texas State, SJSU and Tech tie at 8-10. SJSU wins the tiebreaker, so SJSU is the #6 seed and Tech is #7.
If SJSU beats Texas State, no tiebreaker would be needed since Tech would be outright #7 in the standings.
