Sorry to hear that for those that lost their scholarships. I guess mean old Tech doesn't look too bad as a partner now that their big daddy in red stick is beginning to take all their funds.

It is the only way they will learn, apparently. This will all play out eventually. They will either go out of business or become part of Tech in the long run.
Umm, no, is doesn't "serve them right"! It is sad that anyone gets harmed in the budget cuts. The sports teams were going to lose if TECH got them, and these lost anyway. I am sorry for them, but more cuts are inevitable.
I say that only as we all watched the lsus athletes be very vocal against the TECH merger.
Exactly! The students need to be more educated about this whole thing. The first lesson should be that they are not tigers.
I can understand why the current student athletes over there were opposed to the merger, more than likely they were going to have their athletic programs cut. Why would they be in favor of having their scholarships cut and then have to pay their way? And that's what they deserve?
The administration over there will get what they deserve.
