It's a long season, but this has been a rough start. Poor hitting, poor defense, poor base running, and poor coaching through the first seven games. Our pitchers haven't had any help.



McNeese and SFA appear really weak. We better win those road games because we have Baylor, Nebraska, and Rice looming.

For those who sat in the stands in any of the 3 games, I know you could hear the ORU fan cheering for her team in a combination of Spanish and English. After the game yesterday, I thanked her for coming to Ruston. She was from Corpus Christi and drove up for the series to watch her son play. He was the starting pitcher Sunday.

We definitely heard her! You would have had to have been deaf not to hear her. From what I hear, she must make a lot of home game in Tulsa, because some of our players heard her last year too!

So she wasn't the catcher's mom after all? I saw the catcher was 0-3 Sunday and figued she had a bad day.

From the way she was cheering for the catcher, I guessed she was his mom. She seemed to cheer louder (somehow) when he came to bat. She reallly had a good day Sunday because her son pitched a good game. After he left the game she didn't cheer quite as much. I kinda missed it.
