I guess I must not have enough redneck in me. I don't really care for the show either.

This will light the BBB group up. Looks like the LA Times got the universities mixed up on Phil & Terry. I emailed the jerk and told him to get his research straightened out.

Now they have him "turning down an offer from the NFL". Pretty sure he said one of his ex-Tech teammates told him to come try out.

    Re: Rememberances of Phil Robertson

It wasn't long after I opened a sporting goods store in Jackson Parish in 1985 that Phil walked in one day selling his duck calls. At that time Duck Commander was a relatively new company and brand of duck calls. He looked a lot like he does today just less gray in the beard. There was a number of local guys in there at the time and they got a free seminar as he demonstrated his calls. He also had some of those fancy" new VHS tapes" with them hunting on it. He left some calls and I ordered a few. The local duck hunters really didn't care for the calls mainly because they like most hunters were already using some other calls and they knew better. I sold the calls cheap. Some of those vintage calls he made are collectors items now. Dummy me for not keeping them. The guys loved the hunting tapes and would just sit there watching them for hours. I love the show and proud they are from north LA.
