MTSU doesn't bother me because they have decent facilities and overall decent athletic program and more importantly they really don't recruit against us much. ASU/ULL/ULM on the other hand must be kept out of our conference. Period.

THREE CURRENT MTSU PLAYERS ARRESTED AFTER NIGHTCLUB FIGHT

With the offseason arrest season in full swing, Middle Tennessee State is the latest FBS program to feel the sting of an off-field incident.
According to the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal, five current or former MTSU athletes were arrested and charged early Sunday morning following an altercation at a local nightclub. The current football Blue Raiders arrested were wide receiver Marcus Henry (pictured), cornerback Jared Singletary and offensive lineman Adam Stickel.
Two former MTSU football players were arrested as well — Anthony Amosand defensive lineman Jerrold Frazier. The former was far and away MTSU’s leading receiver last season and is a 2013 NFL Draft prospect, while the latter was dismissed from the football program recently for unrelated reasons.
In the paper’s report, and aside from a basketball player, there’s no other indication that anyone else was arrested or charged in connection to the brouhaha.

I drove through MTSU about a year ago and from what I saw their facilities are crap! I would not consider them our peer in any way! They are a good fit for Marshall and WKy geographically, but I can't see they add anything, especially Nashville!

Last I checked, Banowsky wasn't falling all over himself trying to get the CUSA hoops tournament moved to Ruston or Shreveport, nor was he trying to sign on the Indy bowl.

Their MBB team is doing a great job. Their FB team has been winning. Their Baseball team is better than ours. They had the best overall athletic program in the Sunbelt Conference and like it or not that's where a lot of CUSA's replacements come from.

Sorry, if their facilities are crap so are ours. We are easily a better school in general but I'm not seeing what you are seeing. We both have A LOT of work to do.

MTSU's facilities ARE crap. LA Tech's facilities look like the University of Texas up next to MTSU. Furthermore, MTSU is a COMMUTER school. You know how that goes. Commuter schools have very large numbers, but the academic quality is very low.
