I had a good experience in Hattiesburg except for the loss.

About 80 or so LaTech fans went to the pregame event at Mugshots. It was a big place with lots of TVs, good burgers, and good service.

The Southern Miss fans were friendly to us. They let us know they appreciated us coming to Hattiesburg.

Great atmosphere at the game. During one of the timeouts the Hoop Troop was attempting to play, but the USM fans got so loud with their "black, gold" chant that Robken had to give up.

Their student section put ours to shame. We have to do something about our nonexistent MBB student section.

The Hoop Troop and our cheerleaders were great. Good job by whomever was responsible for sending them. It's imperative that we send our band and spirit groups to our drivable road football games next season.

The Regal Blues are 1000 times better than USM's dancers. No contest. Wish the RBs would have been there.

USM had a chicken toss at halftime...

USM desperately needs a new basketball arena. The TAC was 5-star compared to Reed Green Coliseum.

I walked into Roberts Stadium today. It's much more impressive than Aillet Stadium.

Good job to all the LaTech fans who made the trip to Hattiesburg.

I agree that Southern Miss locals were very kind. Everywhere we went, people took note of who we are and they were gracious.

I prefer "LaTech" as our shorthand written name. Example, it's UConn, not UCONN or U CT.

It's Penn State, not PA State or PAState.

We should either use LaTech or La Tech.

I think it's better branding to make it one word like LaTech especially in the digital age, but I'd be fine with either as long as we get rid of the capital A.

Caltech branded their name as one word with a lower case t, but I think we have to keep our T capitalized because it's so prominent in our logo.

This Los Angeles Tech branding failure has been going on for five years now. It's time to fix it.

I asked a couple of USM students if their student attendance was normal. One didn't know (maybe he hadn't been there before?) and the other said "no way."

There may be something about getting there first to get free admission that attracted the USM students. Yes, I know that TECH students get in on their ID cards now, however, in our regular season games maybe we need to advertise a "FIRST 1000 STUDENTS GET IN FREE" promotion.

They first started off by promoting this game over the weekend as the biggest game in USM's last 20 years of history.
They made the students wait outside (in the cold cold) until 1 hr. prior to tip. However, it was complete with a dj, TV remotes and the like.

Very nicely promoted event. Maybe, that's what got so many of their students to the game. We should try something different. Free pizza doesn't seem to be working.
