YES! What a great day!
The worst WWE officiating job in NCAA Tournament history almost saved her.
That's still the biggest reason to me that women's basketball cannot be treated as a serious sport. The number of horrible calls or non-calls in this game was well into the teens, and at least ten of those favored Baylor. The worst was not giving pigtails a T when she made a spectacle of herself in the last 30 seconds ten feet outside the coaching box...that is an automatic T, but it wasn't tonight.
Sad that you find excitement in her losing in the Sweet Sixteen. Wonder if she even knows Tech had it's first losing season... Doubt she even cares anymore -- would rather lose in the Sweet Sixteen then continue to down the road we've been on since WE failed to keep her as a coach.
Now, sad that Griner lost? No... not at all. Complete thug.
NCAA is almost certain to withhold per diem from Baylor based on certain comments at the postgame press conference. Will be very interesting to see if that is all of the punishment from the press conference misconduct.
Plain and simple. Cards deserved to win this one . . .. Some interesting tweets afterwards:

Kim Mulkey after #Baylor's loss: "All three of (the officials), if they go past this round of officiating, it will be sad for the game."
Timothy Burke @bubbaprog2h
Kim Mulkey couldn't even identify what kind of defense Louisville was running against Baylor.

Did not see the game, but glancing at some key stats:

UL - 27/56
BU - 28/67
Three point Attempts
UL - 16/25
BU - 6/17
Fouls
UL - 24

it seems that BU just plain got outplayed and and outcoached. From the write-ups on the game, the UL coach had a brillant game plan and the players executed it extremely well for the most part. Kudos to them. Great, but horrible day, to be a UL basketball fan yesterday.
If you didn't see the game, you probably didn't see that Louisville could have easily been called for 20 fouls in the first five minutes of the game. The mugging they were giving Griner was absurd. Lobo, Peck and Lawson all mentioned it either in the first half or at halftime. The officials mostly ignored foul after foul. They called a few--which is why the foul numbers are so much in Baylor's favor. Eventually, some of the poor officiating balanced out--there were some no calls that benefitted Baylor down the stretch--of course, by then they were trying to come back from 19 down.
That said, Louisville played a heck of game. It wasn't one of Kim's better coaching jobs. And Louisville seemed to want it more. Of course, absurd 3 point shooting helped a lot--those 16 3-pointers included some ridiculous shots that went in.
Louisville played as well as they could possibly play and Baylor played as bad as they could possibly play.
Had the officials called the game fairly it would have been about 72 fouls to 24 fouls.
Louisville kids played with heart and they were allowed to punch and slap the entire game long. People should not be mad at them they did what they were allowed to do.
BS! The refs TRIED to give that game to Baylor, but even they could only do so much. That Sims is a punk. Double-T??? BS! Punk Sims got straight into the UL's player's face after she inbounded it and wouldn't let her go up the floor. But oh! the UL coach got rung up for a T, while pigtails goes into strip act ripping off her jacket, going 10 feet out on the floor to protest a good call, and the refs just pointed her back to the bench???? BS! Baylor was hacking, and shoving UL players to the floor the whole game, and they were called for a total of 14 fouls for the whole game!? What BS! I'm sure ESPN gave the refs a little extra stipend to try to keep that man-child, Grinder, in the tourney, but even the zebras can only do so much.
So HAPPY to see that merry band of thugs go down in flames!
