Anyone hear anything on recuriting
we signed 3 in the early signing period!
1 guard, 1 small forward, and 1 center(a real center this time..6'4")
the guard is a hot shot from Texas, and the small forward, the daughter of a pro men's BBall player that comes in highly touhted!
We will see next year I suppose!
Arkansas got a 6 2 from Huntington, nations 20 ranked post, did we recruit her?
I think there are a lot of schools who are going to regret not going after Jesse Ellis at Southwood. She signed with McNeese because it was her best offer, but she can play.
She is really good and will be great for McNeese. The 3 we signed were highly touted and fill some spots that we need, though.Originally Posted by deadawg
Don't forget our coach... she signed up to learn how to coach with the Liberty. Can't sign any good assistants either because they might out coach her.
Not the reason and we will see some great additions this year.

The Broom girl from Natch Central, that went to JUCO then Ole MS as well as Caples that also was in JUCO and also went to Ole MS were on Tech radar but after they were released at Ole MS we got out recruited by Northwestern State and Brooke for Broom and Grambling State got Caples so I guess better luck next time those two programs must have a complete staff and a head coach with more passion then ours.

Coach Bibbs is a GREAT coach, she is a proven winner no matter where she is coaching, this is her second run at Grambling State. I have two kids that she is looking at. Caples is going to make an immediate impact with Grambling they will beat alot of the SLC schools and a majority of the SBC schools.
I hate that we didn't get those kids but those two ladies are in very good hands with Brooke and Coach Bibbs.
Broome to NSU? Haven't heard that. Just saw Brooke and NSU AD Greg Burke the other day and neither mentioned it. Not that they owe me a daily update or anything, just that they know how fond I am of Broome and I would think one of them might have whispered that news to me. Oh well. I intend to find out for sure today though.
Congratulations to Coach Bibbs and Grambling State!!! As phil stated she is a GREAT coach. She was my sister's coach at GSU from 1984 - 1988. If any other school had to get Caples other than Tech, I am glad it is the GSU Lady Tigers!!!
Does this give us a clearer picture of what is wrong with the Techster program or do we just agree that the SLC and SWAC are better conferences that are coached by more passionate recruiters. By the way NSU was 8th in conference and lost 1st round in conference tournament. GSU won 6 games. So all three of us had losing seasons and GSU and NSU had 1st yr coaches and they whipped us on the recruiting trail. Did these players not realize who our head coach is? Hall of Fame player and top 50 all time player in WNBA, by the way she made a half court shot to beat Comets in Championship game, they lost the series, but come on Caples and Broome WHY did you not even give us a visit, our team is always at the football games and men's basketball cheering them on to great success. Can we get either Brooke or Bibbs to come in here then, losing out on two players that were SEC good and both come to LA and choose GSU and NSU over us WOW
