Is it really too much to ask that we use our official colors in our logo? What was the purpose of standardizing our blue a decade ago?

If I am not mistaken Tech Blue is a standard reflex blue.

Large format printing does not utilize spot colors but creates the colors from a 4cp build.

That's the difference you are seeing.

The graphic designer usually is instructed how to build the file by the customer. Cost is usually considered.

I'm blaming the color discrepancy on the admin instead of Donnie Bell. The admin is the one writing the check, they're the one who should say, "these are the specs, use these colors." If they're not doing that we can't blame DB for it.
