We've had this discussion a few times. It would really help if administration and the athletic deparment actually initiate some kind of marketing effort. Go after the "small" donors. I fall into that category, and have given when I can, but I've never been directly contacted from anyone in the athletic department for anything other than season tickets. I can only assume it's the same for most all of Tech alums, most of which don't share the same passion for Tech as we all do. That said, it's no wonder why support and attention for this project hasn't increased. Too many of our alums simply don't know what's going on or what's being planned. It starts at the top, and there's zero effort coming from there. I'm not laying any of the blame on our alumni/donor base until I see some directed effort coming from the ones who are supposed to be making this happen.
