For years I said that Jones was a good owner but a lousy GM. I no longer think that. Any good owner would have long since fired a GM who has only won one playoff game in 17 years. Heck, the truth is that under Jones' leadership, the Cowboys have had about 5 successful seasons in 25 years. Compare that to Schramm's tenure where they were successful about 22 out of 28.
Jones has made money with the Cowboys. Wow. How bad would you have to be not to be able to make money with the second most popular franchise in sports? How much more might he have made if he'd hired someone who could actually keep the Cowboys playing well?
This guy deserves to be cut just for being dumb enough to smoke weed while awaiting trial for DWI-Manslaughter. What an idiot.

He got arrested AGAIN, for the same exact thing. What an IDIOT.
Why Jerry hasn't cut him is beyond me. They are changing from a 3-4 to a 4-3, so this guy isn't needed as much as he once was. And, he obviously isn't very bright.

Kudos to the Pats for releasing Hernandez.
The only way a purely JJ run, as GM, organization will sniff the playoffs for years. Sneaky one Jerry but most everyone in the country is on to you and not even their fans are buying that one.

Thanks tylertechsas, you have single single handedly kept this thread going almost a year. We have been way closer to 12-4 than 4-12 these past few 8-8 years. Your saints might be screwed, though.
For the first time, I am questioning the roster moves of Payton/Loomis. Leaves me shaking my head. Still...I am gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. Payton/Loomis are the best thing to ever happen to the Saints, and they have proved time and again that they can find the right players out of nowhere. Hopefully, they haven't lost that magic touch.
Can we just PLEASE get the Sickhawks in the Dome!
Nineteen (yes 19) years since they even won a playoff game and they do this? Has JJ paid off somebody to insure they make it?
