Did they all run and hide somewhere?
Did they all run and hide somewhere?
They usually get red dotted into oblivion. Not saying that that's right. The conservative element on this board is pretty large.
Salty Dog is the one I was referring to. Pre-presidential election he has as much green as me. Last time I saw him it looked like there was blood on my screen. I asked a liberal friend of mine one time why he transfered to LSU. He said that almost all Tech people he knew all thought too much alike and that was way far right of what he was used to. Now I'm not saying we are Bob Jone University or anything but we got a bunch of staunch conservatives.
I remember there was a liberal Poli Sci teacher at Tech (can't remember his name). He took a poll about the governor's race. The results were something like: Roemer (75%), Duke (20%), Edwards (5%). I overheard him talking with another professor after the class and he was showing him the results and he said, "... and these are supposed to be semi-literate, educated people." I guess he thought Edwards was the right guy (and Edwards did win).
Maybe they've figured out the depth and sadness of their folly and overall state of being.
QUOTE OF THE CENTURY, MAYBE EVEN THE MILLENNIUM
Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic . Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.
The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."
That's the scary part. There are enough idiots out there who believe he is doing a great job and would reelect him.
Given the arrogance that has gotten him into multiple scandals this term, I wouldn't be surprised! I did however make one fatal flaw!! He picked on the AP and that's a no no.
I was in an English professor's office one time, and she was on the phone with a friend in New York. She said "We just call it the College of Arts here, there's nothing liberal about Louisiana Tech!"
I took it as a compliment, she meant it as an insult.
