A quick mock up I did. Clean and simple.
I did this last year.
when are they supposed to announce the "new" floor?
Your modified version is definitely the way to go for a new court. I'd hate to lose the bulldogs and Lady Techsters logo though. What about incorporating them into tunnel covers? Have the Lady Techsters logo (the one with "Lady" over "Techsters") on the smaller tunnel and bulldogs on the larger one. I have no idea what to do with all of that space though for that tunnel cover. Also I'd hate to lose the faded free throw lane. It's a novel way to incorporate the two shades of blue used by the two basketball programs.
Adding small logos to the modified court version as I suggested earlier in the thread would just about make it perfect.
The previous version of the basketball rulebook published after the last court change had a new article added regarding consistent free throw lane coloring (applicable for both men and women)...
Rule 1 Court and Equipment
Section 6. Free Throw Lane
Art. 3. It is highly recommended that the area of the free-throw lane inside the boundary lines be one color. It is permissible for this area to be more than one color as long as all required lines in and around the lane are clearly discernable and distinguishable.

I'm not a huge fan of the gradient. I think that's a personal thing tho - I'm a big fan of clean simple design. I do like that it ties together Royal and Columbia Blue but I think we can find a better way to do that than a key gradient.
I think the lady techsters need to adopt the schools color. There I said it.
Honestly, I'm not against that change.
Not to piggy back on this thread but....
Any word on scoreboard, video board, or any other technology renovations for this year? I'm beginning to lump this project in with the south endzone project.
The lanes look SO much better in the solid school-color blue.
