To all of the people who are against alternate uniforms, this is a great read. Because in the end, it doesn't really matter what you think.

It doesn't. I'm a huge fan of our Unis. However I just want an alternate helmet every now and then. Is that too much to ask??
When teams start losing games because they don't have atlternate unis I'll buy this BS.
Are you gonna pay for it?
Tech would gladly accept a large donation to pay for alternate helmets or uniforms. From what I understand, some donors were asked if they were interested in donating for white helmets, but the donors weren't interested in giving a significant amount of their money ($40,000) for that one game per season luxury.
I'm sure Tech would gladly accept free alternate uniforms from Nike, but it doesn't look like Phil Knight cares about sending LaTech football free "swag."
When you have the 7th smallest football budget in the FBS, it simply comes down to priorities.
Why waste money that could be spent on WBB and other non-revenue sports.
Be a lot easier to support alts if we did not already have one of, if not the best uniforms around.
Dumb statement. What the donors think ALWAYS matters. Maybe you'll learn that when you finally grow up.
Yes, Indiana football is who we ALL want to emulate. Or maybe Maryland football?
I still don't see Alabama, Auburn, USC, UCLA, Texas, OU, Penn St, Michigan, LSU (save for the white helmet they wore once or twice back in the 90's), etc.... going to these alternate uniforms. What I do see are the perennial "loser" programs --plus Oregon-- doing it. Indiana players need to focus on a lot of issues this fall, but alternate uniforms are not one of 'em.
Again, I'm TRULY not against "alternate uniforms".....just as long as someone else is paying for 'em.
