I think we fit in the high middle are of CUSA in terms of BB arenas. Also UNT is a perfect example of how you can take a round arena concept and still get the seats closer to the floor. I've stated it before but I hate how far our fans are from the court in the TAC.
Rice and UTSA have similar arenas to those three. I wouldn't use the word embarrassing, but those five arenas are small.
I don't know about the others, but Tulane and Rice have done major renovations of their basketball arenas in the past few years.
I played at Rice's fieldhouse pre-renovation, and yes, Tudor Fieldhouse was embarrassing. I wouldn't call it embarrassing anymore, though.
What is embarrassing is that we still have a scoreboard in the TAC from 1982.
