Oh wait...they could still push the button for a 'crap. Have to get really serious and promise free everything if Repubs are elected.

On a side note, some years back, I ran into a black woman co-worker at Walmart and she was talking in a group. I heard her say (because she was loud about it): I'm not getting up to go vote for that old fool. Only offering $8 and that being on a Saturday. That man be crazy! [referring to a local runoff election for school board or some such office].

I saw her the following week, after that Saturday election, and asked if she voted. She was livid: Hell no! I wasn't about to go out on Saturday for no $8. No sir, uh uh.

Repubs have to play that game too, if they ever want the black vote.
Talk like this is why Republicans won't get the Hispanic, black, or Asian vote any time soon. Thanks! Keep on keeping on!

Telling it "like it is" (d80 is wrong FWIW) might feel good, but it has HRC up by 9% and climbing.

Perhaps it's time to consider another approach.

Not just in Natchitoches. This is true across the state and probably across the nation.

Tell you something else, if you want the black vote go to the pastors of the black churches and put some money in the coffers. That preacher will tell his congregation who to vote for, and 90+% will.

Flip Wilson made fun of such preachers:

    Re: Conspiracy?

I've been wide awake. I've been watching this closely since the summer of 2015. I recognized that Trump is not only a terrible person, but that he was the absolute worst choice of the 15+ we had. I voted for a far better choice in the primary and contributed to his campaign. I have warned people about Donald Trump constantly on social media. He polled worse than any other candidate against Hillary (if you looked at the polls in aggregate, which is how they are supposed to be viewed). The warning signs were there. The campaign is finished, he's over 10 points behind with less than 30 days until the election. That kind of deficit has never been beaten this close to November.

If you voted for Trump in the primary, I sincerely hope you now recognize your mistake.

Many of us did not. What should we do? Be cowards and not vote (vote for Hillary)?

Should we also vote for the democrats in the senate and congressional races since Hillary is the best choice?

How do y'all fell about that idiot governor Honor Code you elected because your moral compass led you that way?

There have been a half million votes cast already with millions more coming in the next few days, a lot of these are in important swing states. Candidates should act like the election is over the first week of October rather than November 8th, but Trump doesn't act like he gets this.

I voted for David Vitter. I 've only voted for a Democrat once, and that was for Shreveport DA. You should absolutely vote GOP down ballot. As for the top of the ticket - vote with conviction.

If you truly think Trump has earned your vote, feel free to vote for him. But just because he isn't Hillary doesn't mean he's earned your vote. He is - as we speak - tearing the GOP apart at the seams. I refuse to give him any validation. I will vote according to my conscience, and I assure you it will not be for Hillary. There are two third party candidates with conservative credentials on the LA ballot.

And to those who did not vote for Trump in the primary, thank you. We tried to do out part to right the ship.

You should refuse to vote for a candidate that is less "republican" than Bill Clinton. You should show up and vote for whoever you can down ballot and you should let the RNC know that you refuse to vote for authoritarians with leftist trade policies. You know what will happen if you don't? The next republican you have the "bravery" to vote for in the general will be even worse than Trump as the GOP tries to out "gotcha" the media.

That's what you should do (since you asked).

No. It's because the GOP ran the worst possible candidate against her. It's because we let millions of democrats vote in the republican primary. It's because our candidate had more votes against him in the primary than any nominee in history.

The loss is squarely on Trump and the GOP voters that ushered him into the nomination.

    Re: Conspiracy?

For the record, I voted for Ted Cruz in the Louisiana Republican primary. By the time we got to our primary the field had narrowed to 3 or 4 candidates. Maybe three...I think it was down to Trump, Cruz, and Kasich by then. I didn't vote for Trump.

And, know what, I can still not vote for Trump and it won't matter. He should carry Louisiana and garner the 6 EC votes w/o my vote. Now, if Louisiana was one of those battleground states, still up for grabs, I would have to vote for Trump out of principle. Whether you term it as "a lesser of two evils" or in some other manner, no way could I not do my part to attempt to keep Killary out of the WH.

People on both sides are shaking their heads because of the sorry state of affairs we find ourselves in. Had a VERY liberal democrapic supporter say to me today, "Hillary Clinton vs. Donald Trump....really? How'd we get here?" (she supported Bernie).
