New meaning to BBB --- detecting some Bring Back Bruce undertones. any attacks on this post will come from folks with no sense of humor whatsoever
Hopefully this is propaganda fueled by News Star via NLU...if true although they are Tech grads (which would not necessarily be part of my criteria) I would rather see about 20 guys from this board than the three that the article referenced. None of these excite me. At least it is early in the process and some can express their displeasure FWIW.
I don't know Bullock, but do know JPS Aviation, and its well run.
This article could actually do Stan Williamson a diservice, if he is indeed the most qualified from a group being vetted by the search group. If the public perception is that no one else wanted the job, his ability to market could be crippled before it gets started. I know the marketing of an athletics department is a foreign concept at Tech, but he does look like he has the background for it from his CV. He might actually try it if he got the job!!
I do hope someone gets the Times to write something more positive as the process widens, etc.
I sure hope Stan gets it! Been wanting him back here for a long time! He will do a fantastic job and has a vision much greater than any past A.D. we have had.
I found the article to have a typical News Star anti Tech tone. I am sorry the Times picked it up. Does anybody know why Stan's contract was not renewed as stated in the srticle?
That I can handle, unless your name is Hernandez. I have come back and read some of my previous posts and wondered how I could be such an Idiot -- sitting around talking Tech athletics allows you a chance to qualify, retract. Posting can haunt you awhile. Say something with a smile and folks know your are clowning around, posting seems to be taken a little too serious.
Pretty underwhelming list and the only one with relevant experience didn't get his contract renewed at a small school. Hopefully there are many more to come.
