No it's not. I was tired of watching the same players (e.g, Dave Clark) lose their helmets 6 times in a game. With his new helmet/sit out rule, as expected, the number of helmets coming off during a game decreased dramatically in the 2nd half of he season. Amazing, huh?

I like it, forces coaches to have a go-to plan or be ready to run in the FG unit, ala Les Miles time management fiasco a few years ago

These are some poor rules. The more judgement ambiguity they allow officials (like 'targeting') the more we will see teams getting screwed over. A hard hitting safety will always be subject to a targeting ejection. By the way, Rogers Redding was the SEC official who hounded WAC Commissioner Benson to suspend Chad Boyd when he laid out the LSU WR a few years ago.

This is awesome!!! Let's make one of the most subjective games on the planet even more so. I do like the blocking rule and wish they would get rid of all blocking below the waist. It makes sense that better athletes should win the blocking battle instead of one guy basically falling down or diving in order to trip/injure another player.
