I was talking about Harris ever since our Fall scrimmage.

And guys lets be serious... Scotty Young has done mediocre at best. Our passing game has been terrible the whole year. He hasn't thrown many interceptions but he hasn't thrown for many first downs either. I find it tough to judge a RS Freshmen QB on the second half of the Tulane game since we had 9 points at halftime when he came in, and he did score our only TD and led a drive to a FG too but the kicker missed. And that was with a defender in his face EVERY play... I'm all for interchanging QB's until we find a guy who can put the team on his shoulders and carry them to wins

Many? actually Any . Scotty has been mediocre but he is the LEAST of our problems. We learned hard way under Dykes that musical chair qb does not work -- our freshman qb will be fine one day but first pass INT, second dropped by d lineman and Fumble on 1 yrd line and passes overthrown. Not ready yet.

Let Harris play for a quarter and see how it goes. If he does well...keep him in. If not.....then we will have something else to gripe about!

I agree. QB situation is sort of like...Why aren't we getting called for holding?

    - The other teams hold and the refs don't call it.
    - The worst that could happen is we'd be back 10 yards instead of 8.
    - IMO, if a OLine guy ain't holdin' he ain't trying.

We were 1-4 before Dykes finally changed QB's in 2011 and we finished the regular season 8-4. If things aren't working a change has to be made. The only good QB play I've seen in the first 3 games is the drive for the TD that Higgins lead in the second half against Tulane. He made some good throws and some good runs on that drive. Just because he fumbled once and threw an interception doesn't mean he's going to do that every play. This was his first time to play at Tech. We've seen Young for 10 quarters and we know what he can, or, more precisely, what he can't do.

You do realize that "drive" was 4 plays and -1 yard.... right??
