1. I ended up not getting to go and waste the time, money and gas it would take to get there. 2. One break did go our way when we hit both sides of the goal post and still managed to get the 3 points. I was actually a little hopeful that we would be OK at that point. 3. We will not have to worry about which bowl we will be going to this year-our bowl hopes were pretty well settled last night. 4. There will be no more disappointments this year- all of our expectations have now been adjusted appropriately.
What y'all think of that block in the back that called back Guilliot's punt return? I mean, other than you're sick about it. I can see why that ref threw the flag, but I was hoping the other two refs would have over-ruled him (or her!) Puhleeeze, don't get me started on she-refs in CFB. Anyway, a hand on the back doesn't mean a player has been blocked in the back and the replay from the straight-on shot showed that clearly. Wow! and then that onside kick was bouncing around for several seconds....we just couldn't get the breaks last night.
It could have gone either way, but the telegraphing of "I didn't do nothing" after the block is what sealed it as going against us.
HCSH didn't get a contract extension.
At least the game wasn't on ESPN.
