It finally ended- about the only positive. Seriously, I thought we had a great turnout. Students were fired up, Bradshaw, Phil, and Karl Malone there. We had 3 Super Bowl winning QB's in house counting Bradshaw, Montana, and Doug Williams on the sidelines. 9 Super Bowl rings between them!
We double banked a FG off both goal posts. I wonder if he called that?
Defense was good.
I thought the D played well...besides their high tackling strategy, they forced a lot of turnovers...they were on the field way too long. I was pleased with the blitz packages, just wish we would not line up 12-15 yards off of receivers

I do like the fake blitz and dropping back in zone coverage...The defense played well enough for us to win and created enough turnovers for us to win. Our play calling and offensive scheme is terrible.

Just depends on how you want to look at it. No question last night was bad in the second half. But we return hardly no one form last year. With the lack of experience on the field it's insanely hard to put it together. Neither QB has experience, OL, lack of WR, etc. If you want a positive spin on things, which I'm sure no one here will want to do, we are close to being 3-0. Limit turnovers in the Red Zone against NC St. and I think we win the game. We beat Lamar. Tevin catches that pass last night or no block in the back, FG, etc. and I think we win 20-17ish. It's by no means is pretty and, we are far from good, and the teams we've played aren't particularly good, but we've had our chances. Defense is much improved from last year and are fun to watch. Special Teams takes a step back from last year as it should, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Again, hardly anyone on here wants to hear this or think this way because it's easier to just jump off the ledge, but it is another way to look at things.
As for the 2 point conversion after the TD....well....I just don't know about that one. Can't spin it any other way than what it is. Maybe someone can?
Had 4 turnovers against NCS, seems as many against LU, but got 4; and, got 4 in this game, interesting.
For the first time since we've had the big screen, it appeared the production crew and Robken were trying to work together.
It only counted as 1 loss.......it feels like 3
Not likely we will see any more b.s. about we aren't paying our coaches enough.

I noticed that the PA guy qued Robken and the band a couple of times. That's the way it should work.
I certainly agree that there was more of that than, well, ever. But there was still a glaring lack of communication between them (and everyone else). Hopefully this will improve. I guess I don't know much about the actual operation, but it seems pretty simple to not play music on Zilla and have the band play at the same time.
