The highlights are:
- The Petroleum Engineering (online program) majors increased from 28 in Fall 2012 to 35 in Spring 2013.
- No information is provided on the number of Construction Management (another online program) majors at LSUS.
- LSUS and BPCC teamed up to establish offices on each campus (LSUS Outreach Office on BPCC campus, BPCC @ LSUS). No word on LSUS teaming up with SUSLA as proposed in the original commitment plan.
Somewhat related: it was announced last Saturday by the Interim Dean of COES that only approximately 5000 Louisiana high school graduates each year meet our standards.
I guess more the reason to promote ourselves as The Tech. . . . .
Louisiana Tech University
Flagship of the University of Louisiana System
The seemingly precipitous drop in graduate students would be a threat to Tech's RU/H Carnegie classification if they were degree-seeking students in research-rich graduate programs (primarily doctoral); they are not. The "lost" students were almost solely non-paying lifelong learners (basically, continuing education).
