Terrorism Around the World
So many years of the other thread, seems it should have a sister thread by now.
Al-shabab - an al-qaeda affiliated group - attacked a popular mall for locals, ex-pats, and diplomats during a busy weekend for the mall, especially with a children's event going on. People of several races, religions, nationalities, class, etc. are dead. Canada lost a diplomat. Kenya's President has lost "some" family members. Current siege of the mall going on as the assailants are hold up in a store with hostages.

I feel sorry for Kenya. One of the few bright spots in Africa, imo, and there always just something major happening to them ever so frequently. I am in admiration of their President's resilience in great personal and national tragedy; and for his handling of the situation.
Sectarian violence in Iraq continues. Bombings at a mosque, a funeral, and other places have left over 200 dead, many others wounded, all in just the last week. Nearly, if not over, 4500 for the year.
