Being a POW does not give him automatic hero status.

McCain must be a hero to you because of all the American military deaths he was directly responsible for due to the information he divulged to the North Vietnamese while he was a POW.

There are a lot of times that the "camps" we have fallen into really hurt us - A LOT! None more prominent that this one. I believe we should respect a man's right to state that he wants and does not want certain people at his funeral. A dying wish of a true American. Step out of your comfort zone and give this man some credit. He fought for our country and endured horrible atrocities as a POW all for our country. I have not always agreed with him on policy, but he has earned the respect of our country. In fact, the one thing that all people should be given is what they want at their funeral.
A clear sign that we are divided into camps is the fact that we only agree with people that confirm our point of view. If Obama was dying and stated that he did not want Hillary at his funeral, all Trump supporters would be doing is laughing and cheering him on. Step back and give MCaian some respect on this.

Your highlighted and underlined are very true even though Obama would do this against Hillary for other reasons vs. McCain's. But you are correct and we should respect his wishes.
The guy has dementia brought on by either his brain cancer, or his old age. He hasn't always been as goofy as he's gotten in the last few years. Or maybe it's just another case of there being no fool like an old fool (and in McCain's case, one as bitter as hell).
