Skip single handily destroyed a USF program that would win usually 7-9 games a year and now we will be lucky to win 1-2 this year. He left the program with a soft and talentless team.

Your AD if he was smart would fire Skip at the end of the year but I doubt he is smart since he hired Skip in the first place.

Skips only success at USF came his first year when he had Leavitts players then the slide began.

UM MAYBE BECAUSE HE COACHED AT A LOSER SCHOOL? Skip's worst decision EVER was taking the USF job. That is a dead end job with the pressure to break through just because it's in Florida. The same was we view FAU/FIU, everyone else views USF. No one wants to go there. No one wants to play there. They're only hyped because they're in a metro market and... in Florida... where Big East teams wanted to recruit.

Funny because our new coach is pulling in some talent in this class. Skip cant recruit and can't coach, McNeese State is going to pass your program.

I found it interesting that they just hired a guy with a losing record from a P5 school, but who had previously been successful at a lower profile job (closer in situation to their own).

On the surface USF hiring Strong is quite similar to us hiring Skip.

I think most people would say yes because of the stability our program has had under Holtz. Not to mention wins.

In the bigger picture, we really have no choice. If Holtz comes in and wins 8-9 games per year for three years, and wins three consecutive bowl games (a first in school history) and you fire him...no coach worth his salt would touch this job. Tech would be seen as arrogant, and the fans would be seen as having unreasonable expectations.
