Likewise, King can get the ball on speed option plays, screens, DEEP pass threat, and other creative ways. Why not get your top (3) skilled play makers ALL involved in the offense.
That actually makes a lot of sense. Hunter Lee is much more durable than King -who has a history of serious injuries- so it makes sense to swap those guys in position.

I agree. I think that would be a win/win for both players.

But maybe King can't catch as well as Hunter (remember the Tulane drop?)

Nobody catches a ball as well as Hunter.....and he dropped an easy one Saturday night. It happens. It just shouldn't happen a lot.

I told a friend the other night, UTEP screwed up when they kicked that on-side kick to Hunter Lee. That was the wrong guy for UTEP to kick to in that situation.

HD - you are wrong. HL did not drop a pass Saturday night. He never had one thrown to him! He actually only ran about three routes. They've basically turned him into a blocking TE. If you are wondering why our OL looked better Saturday, check out the 72 yrd. Dixon run and see who setup the block that opened up that run. Lee and Greenwalt setup in the backfield all night and blocked for the RBs. See - HL is still making a difference in the running game.

HL is probably one of the best athletes on this team. For a coach to not find ways to get him the football is absurd.......especially with King out.
Martin's stock just went up with me! Skip said at lunch mini-presser after he video board announcement Martin played the entire 2nd half after suffering a separated shoulder in 1st half. Coaches tried to keep him out and he told them he prepared too long to not be in there. . . .

I was very impressed with Martin. He and Lee are two different subjects though. I would like to see Hunter get more touches...however that has to happen. He and Trent Taylor seem to be our go-to guys when the game is on the line.

This!! And, neither of them are big guys; but, both have a big heart.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong about that. I'm in Nashville, TN this week on business, so I don't have the benefit of watching a playback. But I thought I remembered Hunter dropping one pretty early Sat night. It is so unusual for him to drop one that it was shocking. Having said that, no one is a bigger HL fan than me.

I remember that too, and I'm a big Hunter Lee fan. He should be involved a lot more than he is -- whatever position.

YES, I am happy that we won yesterday. BUT, one of the best playmakers/football players on the team is not involved in the offense. I wish these guys would look at some games from 2 years ago.

    I just don't understand it...
At the same time Richie Casey is dropping pass after pass. I think he has pictures of Holtz with a goat.

I don't remember Hunter dropping a ball but my satellite went out during the series where King was injured. So it had to be around then...
