    Four players suffered injuries that were at least substantial enough to keep them out of the game. Some were worse than others, but the common trend was that they occurred to key players.

    Luckily, the team has nearly two weeks to recover from the bumps and bruises.

    Tevin King, who is the lightning to Kenneth Dixon’s thunder in the backfield, injured his ankle, as did quarterback Ryan Higgins and defensive lineman Shakeil Lucas. Slow receiver was the fourth wounded warrior after suffering a first-half concussion. Running back Blake Martin should be added to that list, but he played the entire game with a separated shoulder and ran for 88 yards and a touchdown.
