Haven't had a good band thread lately. Tennessee's band director ousted. Here's why:

In the attempt to prove Sousa wrong, they are proving him right. Yeah, he was a bit misleading. No more than anyone else.

Complaints: reduced playing, ads, reduced funding.

"Trying to modernize" = less playing time/involvement of band.
Ads are ads, no matter what they are for. Convient avoiding of other ads to act as if there are only recruiting ads. Not sure how much I agree with recruiting ads during game.
$9,000 is nothing compared to the budget they have. Still a cut. Enough to not be able to replace/repair broken instruments and no money for a student or two. The reaction would make any politician proud.

Unfortunate last time though. Probably has had a stigma about him with it since the start.
