There appears to be more to this story than meets the eye concerning the UL board members. I will not post any specific speculation or rumors, but we should all understand that back door politics and favors are a part of reaching agreement in governing bodies.

A little, no flagship status needed... Maybe just move ULM in LaTech Monroe campus, and leave open the Pharmacy and Business school...

Few industries in the world, if any, could or would abide by the shear lunacy and volume. And yes the industry tries to go by each and every one of them.

Trust me I know plenty, come back and talk when you've had an chemical salesman try to talk you into putting a couple of drums of hazardous paraffin inhibitor in the back of his truck with the labels in so he can run it to a field that he forgot to order for, or when you're told to fudge the numbers on a QA analysis of crude so they can sell them more expensive corrosion inhibitor, or when the big oil company comes in and tries to shake your salesman down because of one injury at the plant 2 years earlier and how they'd have to drop us as a supplier... unless of course the price/gal goes down, or... it goes on and on for days. The industry might try to abide by the rules, but many of the individuals don't and when they're found out often it's just a slap on the wrist by the company if anything at all.

But my point is that in this area of S. Louisiana/Acadiana the pervasive human nature, especially in O&G, is to circumvent/ignore rules and regulations. So I'll rephrase to be more precise,
