Now Saban is on the fans about leaving early. The fans in Alabama are getting so used to winning it's just "yawn" another blow out, let's go party. The TV commentators yesterday also pointed out that some of their competition (ie GA Southern) wasn't conducive to all the fans (over 100,000) staying to watch a blow out.

. I had the pleasure of hearing John wooden speak few years ago. Incredible man. He addressed the issue of fickle fans and why he never allowed " outside voices" to bother him . Fans mad because of not winning big enough. ( read cover line). He focused on character , discipline and team. I view our current challenge and see quality young men representing our university, graduating and staying out of trouble. I will feel miserable when we play poorly but I will support them. This is the 1st step in Saban's quest to accept the Univ of Texas job after the end of the season. He'll use the "lack of fan support" as one of several reasons for making a change. He's positioning himself.
Actually, he may have done this at the request of the administration. U of A allots sections to certain campus groups like fraternities. According to one of the local TV stations there is a rule in the student handbook which states that the group must fill those seats for the entire game or the university can take their tickets away.

Everyone knows that the only reason behind Saban's leaving will be 99% money and 1% Saban's desire to take over something that is crap and make it better. There is not enough money in or related to Alabama to equal what Texas (the university) itself could pay out before any other organization, friend, or booster steps in.
Probably. But a UT supporter recently told me that Saban's wife was spotted recently checking out properties in Austin.
Saban's smart like a fox. He's a master manipulator of players, fans and the media. He knows he's in control, and everybody else knows it too.

I'm gonna guess that one reason Saban isn't at LSU today is because his wife wasn't crazy about life in Baton Rouge. Yeah, Tuscaloosa is small.....but it's a pretty short hop from Atlanta.
Come on man, Saban's wife doesn't influence him. He left lsu for the NFL. If Bama gets NCAA punishment he will leave, but if not I think he will stay in Bama. A second NFL shot might draw him away.
Oh...no doubt the NFL was a very attractive opportunity to Saban at the time. But Miami was also a lot more appealing to Mrs Saban too, than Baton Rouge.
