But, we were 5 for 5 on those FGs. If Fischer would have gone 0 for 5, we would have won 8-7!

Saw that on BTB last night, you do a good job with those slide shows, that's crafty.
Now THAT'S making something happen after the catch. That would have been a 10 yard gain if he was an average RB. We need a guy at WR who can do that. Griffin got 15 yards on the play before, but he was sprung by an illegal block. As Guisslapp keeps saying, we need better blocking from our receivers.
Did anybody ever figure out why we went for 2?
The 2 pt chart says to go for 1 if you're up by 11 (18-7). All I can think is he wanted the practice on goalline offense. (FIU would have had to score 2 TDs to win if we got the 2 pt or not).

Not that we need a chart.. If we don't get the conversion, which it took an amazing catch to convert, they are only a td, 2pt conversion, and a field goal from tying (2 possessions). We kick the xp, they need 2 td's--which is exactly where they were after we converted.
True. That would be a good presser question.
We went for 2 because our coach is not bright. No other reason, no excuse makes sense. He is an idiot. He has shown this twice so far by going for 2 when it is not the right thing to do. Can't wait to beat USM.
The chart may have given him an excuse to go for two, but after watching TMOs replay, I really believe he wanted everybody to think about what just happened, the effort of making an amazing play like that. Here's somebodys chance to make a play, and Griffin stood up and did it.
