It appears pitching has dominated this series, but mostly I think it has been bad hitting by everyone except Ortiz. The guy Boston threw in Game 4 would have been rocked by most good college teams.

Here's a tidbit for you that I heard on the radio a few days ago:

Since the 1985 World Series, made famous by the Don Deckinger call that Cards fans still cuss about, there have been 27 World Series' played (not counting the one in progress). The team with home field advantage has won 22 of those 27 series. Makes you wonder about Dud Selig and his decision to allow home field to be decided by a glorified exhibition game.

That said, I'm okay with the Sox winning. If you are a Cardinals fan, here is the question you have to be asking; "WHY THE HELL ARE WE STILL PITCHING TO DAVID ORTIZ?"

I know....I know....but I got a chance to attend Game 1 in Boston (church trip for other reasons) and had a blast with the fan base and really enjoyed the town. BTW, the long honeymoon with Obama in Boston might finally be over as many we ran in to expressed hatred for the man and ADM after finding out our group of 42 was from Texas. It happened or was expressed time and time again.

I can't answer that for the first 5 games. But, tonight they can't do it because they are busy walking him. Had they done that in game 5, they probably would have won the game. Not looking good for the Redbirds tonight.

Nope, I believe it is over. Cards can't get a big hit. The whole series has been up hill for them, probably lucky to have won two games.
