    Football Destrehan Video Hack

I've been following this for a couple of days online, but haven't seen it posted on the board. If you aren't familiar with the story, Destrehan played South Lafourche last week and Destrehan won 49-24. Apparently there is a website called Hudl.com where coaches can store game and practice video for their coaches and players to watch. It was discovered that the Destrehan coaches had somehow obtained the login name and password of the South Lafourche coaches and watched all of their practices of the week leading up to the game.

The coaches have been suspended by LHSAA, which will keep them from coaching in games, and suspended by the school board, which will keep them away from practice as well. The game has been forfeited, and one assistant coach and his girlfriend have been arrested for hacking.

    Obvious things people will say:
    1. He deserves to be fired.
    2. He's setting a bad example for the players he mentors.

Even more obvious questions I have about this:
    1. Putting game film online makes sense, since coaches swap film weekly anyway. Why would you put practices on there? Burn it to a disk and let each coach take it home. Put on a laptop or something. Putting every practice online the week leading up to a game is just asking for trouble. That's like Coca Cola putting the recipe for Coke on their website (password protected) and asking that people not hack the page and steal the recipe.

    2. Why use the same website that EVERY OTHER school uses?

    3. You are trusting 40-50 kids, ages 15-18 with these passwords? How often do you change the password? I'm surprised this doesn't happen every week.
