The Saint Mary’s Gaels have 25+ wins for the last six seasons and have been in the NCAA Tournament 8 times including 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2013. They play in the West Coast Conference (WCC). The WCC includes some well known names for MBB fans - BYU, Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Pacific, Portland, Saint Mary's, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara.

Arizona Daily Star - For college basketball programs that attract tiny crowds to exhibition games, the option to hold a closed scrimmage instead is a no-brainer.
A closed scrimmage, such as the one Arizona will play today at Saint Mary’s in the Bay Area, offers coaches better competition and more teaching opportunities. The only negatives are travel cost and foregone revenue from not holding a public exhibition game. READ
