Update on Quinton Patton

Quinton had his cast removed and is ready to go. Unfortunately , he will be the only "healthy" scratch from this weeks game against Carolina. Crabtree back so there you go. Speculation is that he will be moved to practice squad but Harbaugh really likes him and may keep extra wr on 53 man roster. Reported by ESPN and NBC sports. Myles caught first pass for GB from Rogers against and all pro db for 8. Unfortunately, Rogers broke collarbone and passing game diasappeared. Jordan and O line from Chicago getting cudos for turning Bears offense line around. Allen will have a long career in NFL -- hopefully some of you more computer savvy foks can link the sites on QP

The article below said he was a "non-healthy" scratch. He probably isn't ready to go just yet if he just got his boot taken off.

The term "healthy scratch" has been used in the NHL for years. 23 players maximum are on an active NHL roster, but only 20 are allowed to dress for each game. If the 3 not dressed are healthy, they are "healthy scratches".

I just went to the 49ers site, and it appears Williams has been released and when I looked at the depth chart, Patton was elevated to first string as WR#2.

Very unfortunate but I hope he uses this time to get healthy and keep improving! He'll get his chance soon enough.
