Dooley $12.2 Million Dollar Mistake for Tennessee

Just saw a tweet from ESPN's financial guy saying that this was the cost of buying out Dooley and his assistants as well as paying the buyout for Butch Jones at Cincy and paying him for the season. Clearly they're a better team, but mistakes sure are expensive.

Definitely think we have a much less expensive mess, but a mess to clean up just the same!

You definitely have a point there. Sometimes it seems like the staff thats integral in our athletic department wants us to remain small time. Good ol Ruston mentality.

What do ya'll think about Bo Pelini. Nebraska is always trying to get rid of good coaches. Look at Solich. He went to a "mid-major" and has done pretty well. Pelini has insight into recruiting here from his time at LSUX. Just a thought??

Pelini would not fit in Ruston. He's just not a nice guy. Nebraska should have well known that before they picked him, and then that is precisely why they want to get rid of him.

Yea, lets hire coaches that can't win at big time programs. If a coach can't win being in the Big 10, lots of tradition, and the best facilities and you think he can win at La Tech? Pelini sucks, Nebraska should fire him.

Sucks? By over-inflated Nebraska standards, maybe. But for everyone else, he's a damn good coach. Not well tempered and would definitely ruffle some feathers around Lincoln Parish.
