For the first time, I'm starting to plan a basketball weekend trip to come up with the family. Wish the Tulane and Southern Miss games were on Saturdays.
Promotions mentioned on the Holtz show tonight mentioned a sellout night. Can't remember which game.

Our marketing is bad. Four games promoting "Greek Night". Two games with no promotions. We have some talented people working behind the scenes *sarcasm*.

And we are having Mardi Gras Night and Scout Night on the same date...
One of the games with no promotion is a Saturday night game. It is a DH, so I would think that would be a pretty good night to have a promotion. I guess they are planning on the Techsters to bring in the crowd.
We didn't even send a story to TNS. Did we send one to The Times?
THIS is an example of free maketing we don't take advantage of.
We are doing some of the free social media marketing. Got something on Facebook today. Of course it was combined with the WBB team. Maybe we were trying to save money of on production of the ad?
I stand by what I've said before. We will never promote the men's program w/out promoting the WBB team in like fashion and will never reach our potential for MBB.
You are correct about that, although it helps to reach the WBB fans too. I know my parents now are going to the men's game, when they would only used to go to the women's. That is just one case, but so many have left the WBB program due to not living up to the past, that they are worth some attention. Saying that, we have to reach a new audience, as well. I think there needs to be Tech athletics promotions AND separate promotions for each sport. Some of it is free on social media (or minor with some design) and some needs to be paid (or should I say "invested).
