When your opponent is ready to go Washington and embrace Obamacare, you need to point this out to the voters. What other "negative" tactics did Riser employ?
I hate Jindal. I wouldn't vote for anybody Piyush endorsed.
I listened to a debate between the two candidates hosted on Moon Griffon's show earlier this week. I had the same feelings about the two that you have.
One of the exchanges I found interesting was that McAlister is against career politicians like Neil Riser, yet McAlister wants to be in Congress for ten years and then possibly to the White House if he's good at his job.
That wouldn't be a "career" necessarily.

Dang,if I had the money and knew about it, I could of ran and probably won!A total of 91,286 voters cast ballots, which is 19 percent of the 481,523 registered voters would cast ballots Saturday
So disappointed Rodney Alexander quit Congress.
Here's a good summary of the race.
His comments to The News-Star:
McAllister said he didn’t hear from Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal, who it was widely believed supported Riser, one of the governor’s floor leaders. “Maybe (Jindal) couldn’t find my number,” McAllister said, chuckling.

That's really sad. Jindal probably called to congratulate J.D. instead of McCallister.
