Saints tried to give away the game but pull it out in the end.
Very sweet beating the two franchises I despise the most back to back.
I have to give Rob Ryan credit, he has done wonders with the defense.

What y'all think of the personal foul called when Brees was sacked?
The foul was a borderline call. Could go either way. Glad the refs were on our side this time.
I thought he was down by contact also. But, since they did not rule it that way...Another case of either bad coaching or players not paying any attention. There is an epidemic of players wanting to make the spectacular play by stretching the ball out in a very dangerous fashion. It was NOT like it was 4th and goal for the offense. Saints would have had the ball 1st and goal at the 2. But players HAVE to risk all to get the touchdown...or the first down...or just another meaningless yard. They just HAVE to stretch that football out there with one hand. DUMB, DUMB, DUMB.
Add a win against Kansas if Tech players did not also have that mindset.
Good old Memorial Gym
Yeah he was stupid for doing that -
But I'm talking about the immediate catch - he was down

I know. I agree with that. I think they said the call "stands." I guess the moment of him securing the ball on the interception was too close to the point of contact that knocked him down for them to be able to overturn. From the time the play happened I thought he was down by contact. Before he fumbled I thought they would bring the ball back to where he went down on the interception.

And when they threw the flag on that play I thought it was going to be holding on the Saints...

The rest of the hit on Brees. It wasn't so much the initial hit, it was the finish on the hit. See picture below. Clearly grabbing the head area to throw Brees down that was roughing the QB.
