Player Introductions

In the midst of tonight's meltdown about the loss to ULL, I thought I would point out that the whole player introductions process was a definite positive. The new video was one of the best I have seen at any Tech sporting event. As the sound from the video faded into the the music for the intros, the hair on my neck stood up and goosebumps appeared on my skin. By the time the ball went up for the tip-off, I felt that the TAC had reached a higher level of Hypeiality and Crunkedness than I personally have experienced at tip-off there before. Kudos to the people who made this happen. Of course the clock didn't work and it all seemed to be for naught quickly, but that is another story. Dimming the lights and the use of a spotlight, IMO, would further enhance this important portion of the pageantry that helps to create an outstanding game time environment leading to a significant home court advantage. Thoughts?

They need to turn out the lights and use a spotlight. They used to always do this for the Lady Techsters. I don't remember if they've ever done it for the men.

I agree, I mentioned the lights to a friend mine at the game. The video was really good. Hope they continue to update the highlights as the season goes on.

Spotlights? Yes. Mess with the lighting? Not gonna happen. The TAC lights cannot be dimmed. The Techsters used to turn them off, but it took 15 minutes for them to return to brightness. Unacceptable for video.

Next time we renovate the lighting in the TAC, buy the ones that can have shutters over the lights, like the NBA arenas.

Totally agree.....now if we can just fix the sound. They used way too much bass last night and don't even get me started on the Dawgzilla.

Intro video was fantastic. I'm off to the Youtubes to see if it's been posted.
