I started getting them this year too. They'll send you one every two or three weeks. Does anybody join this group anymore?
They have been on the far left for some time now. While they do stand up and fight for their constituency, what they want for them is not good for the country as a whole.
Have been getting their propaganda for a while. I just mail back the postage free envelope, empty of course, and throw the rest in the trash.
Their stance on Obama care and their overpriced services turned me off, too. Put a pencil to the term life insurance they endorse for a percentage of the take. They are participating in a huge ripoff.

There is a "conservative" alternative. Check out AMAC. Not sure how their prices on sevices (insurance / travel discounts) compare to AARP, but I hear they are competitive.
My bro-in-law sent me a subscription as a joke when I turned 50. But didn't renew it because I'm not a fan of their politics. AARP = Another Liberal Lobbying arm of the Obama Administration!
I shred the material then put the shredded material back in the postage paid envelope and send it back to them.
I am a proud member of the conservative Association of Mature American Citizens. I kicked the ultra-left AARP out long ago. AMAC is now 1 Million Members Strong and represents the values and views of conservative Americans. To inquire: www.amac.us
Mailing Address: 5 Orville Drive, Bohemia, New York 11716 PH: 888-262-2006
AMAC appeals to:
1. People who believe in God & respect religion.
2. People who believe in individual responsibility.
3. People who believe in the work ethic and free enterprise
4. People who believe in the traditional old fashioned values of honesty, decency, charity and PATRIOTISM.
It will be worth your time to check into AMAC.

Never pass up an opportunity to return AARP mail and force them to use that postage. You don't have to buy, but make them pay for paper and postage.
