    Brees' throws

I know its hard to question someone who puts up his kind of numbers but while watching the last two games i have not seen the zip on his throws that we are accustomed to seeing.

Watching Drew you can tell when he is about to rip one down the middle. I see the motion but the ball just seems to not have the usual velocity.

    Anyone else notice this?

My son noted basically the same thing last night. Like you say, though, he is still getting the job done.

To me his arm doesn't appear to be as strong -

But then again he has 50,000 yards on it

He put pretty good heat on it a few times last night. He also is so good at throwing a guy open. You don't have to burn it out there if you know you are throwing it where only your guy can get to it.

I think a lot of this is because of the offensive line. Even in the games they play well, he is moving his feet a lot more than he has in the past. Sometimes they get good protection and he sets before he throws, but they are inconsistent enought that I think he is less confortable than back there than in years past.
